Prior to his election, he ran unsuccessfully for House District 11 in 2002, and for Kansas State Senate District 15 in 2000.[1]
Policy Positions
Peck's website lists him as, "Pro-Low Taxes, Pro-Life, Pro-* Education Committee, Kansas House of Representatives, Pro-Business, Pro-Agriculture," and "Pro-2nd Amendment." He states, "We need to address property tax relief, immigration reform, health care costs, state debt, and bring state government spending under control."[2]
Peck refused to take Project Vote Smart's 2008 Political Courage Test. The test, which is administered to all candidates for presidential, congressional, gubernatorial, and state legislative offices, asks one central question - "Are you willing to tell citizens your positions on the issues you will most likely face on their behalf?"[3]
