Terrie Huntington is a Republican member of the Kansas State Senate. She has represented the 7th District since January 11, 2010. She was chosen to serve the remainder of David Wysong's term.[1] Huntington previously served in the Kansas House of Representatives, representing the 25th district from 2003 until resigning to join the Senate.

She is a graduate of the University of Kansas.

She refused to take Project Vote Smart's 2008 Political Courage Test. The test, which is administered to all candidates for presidential, congressional, gubernatorial, and state legislative offices, asks one central question - "Are you willing to tell citizens your positions on the issues you will most likely face on their behalf?"[3]

Huntington is one of eight Republican incumbents that the Kansas Chamber of Commerce Political Action Committee has targeted for defeat in 2012. It sees the eight incumbents as being impediments to private sector job creation and has made $1,000 donations and in-kind contributions to the Republican challengers.[5]
