Lancer, who attended Wheaton College and the University of Kansas School of Law, is currently a partner in the law firm Schlagel, Gordon & Kinzer, LLC.
Prior to his election to the House, he served as Chairman of the Olathe Republican Party (2001-2004) and as Regional Director of Sam Brownback's 2004 campaign.[1]
He has been married to his wife Michelle for 12 years and they have two children.

2008
On November 4, 2008, Kinzer was re-elected to the 14th District Seat in the Kansas House of Representatives, defeating Aunesty Janssen (D). [5] Kinzer raised $44,674 for his campaign, while Janssen raised $1,200. [6]

Opposition to abortion
Kinzer takes a staunch anti-abortion stance and has sponsored numerous bills to restrict the practice. In the 2010 legislative session, he ran a successful campaign in the House to override Governor of Kansas Mark Parkinson's veto of House Bill 2115, restricting late-term abortion. [7] The override later failed by one vote in the Senate.[8]
