After receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in Banking and Finance from Southeastern Oklahoma State University in 1992, Carey became an investment consultant for First United Bank and Trust. He and his wife, Pamela, have three children: Guy Walker, Anna Scott and Emma Claire.
